DIY Baby Shower Gift !

One of my dearest friends is having a baby girl next month so naturally us girls got together to celebrate! Baby Ailyn (and mom) got so many great gifts. I knew she would be receiving many of the typical essentials so I  wanted to try my hand at a creative DIY gift.

Decorative Initial for babies room:

Basically, it only took a few easy steps.

1. Buy wooden letter ( "A" for Ailyn,)your choice of colored paint, glitter if you are into that( I say the more the better,) choice of decorative embellishments and ribbon.

2. Paint wooden letter. I did three coats (let dry between each coat.)

3. Apply glitter while the last coat is still wet.

4. Let dry completely. Then I applied flowers with a glue gun. Arrange however you like.

5. Drill small hole to hang ribbon ( Dad helped with this part.)

*May want to apply clear coat before applying flowers to seal however, I did not do that this time.

This is a great DIY for anywho who considers themself "craft challenged." Believe me, if I can do it so can YOU!

*Great for a baby boys room too just change the colors and embellishments!
